2025 Newfoundland Historic Trust Heritage Restoration Award Winner
This intensive heritage restoration represents a benchmark in Sable’s approach to craftsmanship, detail, and technical execution.
The project involved a complete interior transformation, carefully integrating modern systems while preserving and recreating historic elements. Hydronic in-floor heating was introduced throughout, alongside all new hand-crafted cabinetry and shelving, restored fitted furniture, and meticulously recreated plaster mouldings and stained glass. Energy-efficient windows and an additional bathroom were seamlessly incorporated, along with a wide range of custom-fabricated finishes.
Every detail was approached with precision and respect for the home’s original character, resulting in a space that feels both historically authentic and highly functional for modern living. Recognized for its quality and care, the project was awarded the Newfoundland Historic Trust Heritage Restoration Award in 2025.
